Dinner with the Enrights
Approximately 150 people had a wonderful evening during the "Dinner with the Enrights" event on November 18, 2009 at the Noblesville 4-H Fairgrounds building. John and Kendra Enright gave an update on how God has been working at Kafakumba. Their son, Nathan, was also in attendance.
Here are just a few highlights:
- Education is the key emphasis surrounding much of the work at Kafakumba: Pastors' School, Women's Seminars, health education, etc.
- The Congo Pastors' School session was successfully completed. Pastors from the Congo were brought to Kafakumba for the school. The pastors' most fervent wish was that their wives could come with them next time.

- Work has begun on setting up elementary-level schools that will enable the students to graduate with English language skills and the ability to succeed in higher-level schools.

- Six sewing machines were recently donated by a man who read about Kafakumba on the website. He was so moved by what he learned that he made the donation. Several examples of the Kafakumba ladies' handiwork were on display.
- The honeybee project is doing extremely well. After recent visits from experts in the United States, Kafakumba's beehive manufacturing capability has jumped from 3 hives built per day to 50 hives per day. A South African company has approached Kafakumba with the desire to purchase honey from Kafakumba. Another company has discussed forming a partnership with Kafakumba in the beekeeping operation.
- And much, much more...
